Gentlemen, this round was surprising, to say the least. I won't go into why, I'll just let the photos and critiques tell the story...

Mathias...Looking and feeling confident, I enjoy that GQ look. Janice: I just don't know Mathias. This is just not making my heart go pitter patter. You looked more GQ during the Zodiac Shoot. This... hmm, this reminds me of an awkward Homecoming Dance date. You don't look confident to me and you're not wearing that suit like you're the hottest ticket in town. I'm just not see it here. Sorry. Julia: Mathais, I like this. I think it works well, for this shoot and I think you look suave. I think your expression looks really intense and I like your pose. Overall, I think this is good. Hilary: Mathias, I have to get on board with Julia, here. I perused all of the other photos for this shoot before critiquing, and I have to say that I find yours most fits the challenge. Thank you for getting dressed up and looking suave and debonair! You look totally put togehter here - right down to the hankerchief. I don't really find it that exciting, but I have to say you did a good job....and as you'll see below, that is a great compliment today.

Travis...Julia: I like this, Travis. It's a bit fuzzy, though, and that makes it real hard to see your lovely face. On top of that, your hair is covering your face, as well, which I am not too keen on. Enough on all that, though, onto your handsome suit. I think you are wearing it well, and I love your relaxed pose, it's so sexy. Overall, not too bad. Janice: Still, My heart rate is not exploding. Darling it's hardly beating for this. Sorry. But you have your hair in your face, the quality is hazy and the suit looks wrinkled. I'm just not loving it. Sorry. Hilary: Travis, I like that you're wearing a suit and that you're not ready to pounce again, lol...but I agree with everything Julia said. It's just not thrilling me, baby.

Ryan...So, the outfit is classy and it looks dressed up and clean like you wanted it. As you said I chose to showcase my own personal style and I believe that's what I'm doing here. So I look both classy and cleaned up and I add a personal touch to it. Hope you guys like it as much as I do Janice: Are you heading off to Broadway for your GQ shoot? Gosh maybe I should just do a quick look at Google images because so far, your the third in my line of critiques and I'm starting to giggle instead of swoon. I honestly feel the GQ man is best portrayed in the example shots. Debonair, strong, chivalrous, and a slight rugged sexiness. I'm not just getting the vibe here. I'm sorry again. Julia: Janice, is right, this so looks like a Broadway costume, especially with that hat. I don't think this is bad, I actually like the outfit, once I get past the theatrics of it, and I think you look great facially and with your hand in your pocket. Overall, not bad. Hilary: Ryan, while I don't find this quite as GQ as I had pictured, I do like that you are dressed up and trying to show your own style. It's unique, I'll give you that. Thanks for at least not being boring.

Andrew... Janice: Now this is an improvement compared to what I have been looking at but still there are a few things I'm not overly crazy about. One big one is that sweater vest with the wool (looking) sports coat. I don't like the wool on wool look. The other thing I'm not crazy about is your eyes here Andrew. You have a sleepy look about you. I've seen you look very handsome and breathtaking. I was expecting to be swept away by you this round so this is a slight disappointment but still... like I said, an improvement that I see... from the others I've already commented on. Julia: You look nice here, Andrew, kind of like the boy next door, but I have to say the clothing really isn't attractive. The sweater over the shirt and tie coupled with the jacket looks so bulky and to me you just look uncomfortable. Also, jeans aren't very GQ to me. Hilary: Andrew, I was liking this at first, but the farther down I went....to the sweater....and then to the jeans...the less it looks GQ. I am with Janice - I am very disappointed with this round. I gave examples of exactly what I wanted so I can't really understand why it was so hard. Sorry, Andrew, this just isn't cutting it.

Miro... Julia: Miro, you definitely look sharp in this photo, so much so that you're actually adjusting your attire to look even better. I personally wish we could have seen a bit more of your face here and even some more of that handsome suit, but I do like this, and it fits the challenge, so well-done there. Hilary: Miro, I'm kind of disappointed with this one, to be honest. It's obviously from the same shoot as the photo you submitted for "Clean Cut." It's so similar that I can't imagine why you would submit it. On top of that, I'm just not in love with all the angles in this pic. The back of your head has a weird point to it, as does your nose and chin. I'm sorry, I'm just not impressed this week. Janice: I agree with the angles of this photo. I'm not loving it, I would have rather had a straight on head shot from you looking smoldering sexy. I do like the outfit. You look business class, debonair.

Evandro... Janice: Hmmm, well this is alright. Gosh... *looks around the judges table* am I the only one who is having a major let down this round. I honestly expected at my age, that these men would be making me wish I was 21 again but nope, I have senior citizens dressed for Friday night bingo who can look more suave then this group of men. Anyway, Evandro darling. This isn't bad. I didn't need so much scenery, the outfit is alright, a tie would have been nice but it's still pretty good. I really don't like your mouth. Ughhh, it's not attractive to me in the least. But don't' fret darling. I don't think I've gone bonkers over any models submission so far. It looks like it's a race for the best of the worst this round. Julia: A little laid back here, huh, Evandro. I like the outfit, and you look suave with the tie-less look, but the one thing I'm not too keen on is your positioning in this photo. You are so off to the side, you are barely the focus, the scenery is more what outshines you, but for the theme, I think you did alright. Hilary: Evandro, you had some hot shots in your roughs. Why you picked this shot for GQ I have no idea. Where's the tie? Where's the sophistication? I am just not buying it....although it's better than some. Yes, Janice, I am with you....this round is a let down.

Eugen... Janice: You and Miro must have been in the same shoot. Boxes... lets do boxes for the background!! YES! NO! Let's not. But besides this let me focus on you Eugen! It's still just not WOW'ing me. It is not bad, I'll give you that. I still wish the wardrobe was a bit more suave, and sophisticated with a slight edge of rugged masculinity to it but I don't know. I'm just bored. BORED I SAY! I'm going for coffee and a donut with my hunky bodyguard, Sorin. Julia: This isn't bad, Eugen. I think a sport jacket might have helped to complete the look you have going here. I am a bit distracted with the shadowing, as well. Your outfit does help to emphasize the theme though, so overall, decent effort. Hilary: LOL Janice. The box theme isn't your thing? Eugen, while I love your face, and could probably stare at it for hours, this just isn't up to your usual standards. I don't like that you're not wearing a jacket. What is so hard about this, guys? GQ - dressed up! Not dressed down, lol! Okay, so I am glad you're not wearing jeans, but it's still not what was asked for. But it's better than some. Whew! *pushes chair back, gets up* Glad this torture is almost over. Janice, Julia, let's go have some drinks and deliberate. I'm afraid this round my ranks are going to be based on who isn't the worst instead of who did best. :-P

Wow, I'm shocked the judges didn't like any of the pictures. Tough luck for us I guess. Thanks for the critiques though. Good luck guys.

Thanks so much Julia and Hilary. It was difficult to combine an interesting photo with the actual GQ theme of the shoot. I'm glad that I was able to please you, though. Sorry, Janice that you didn't care too much for my look...I was happy that I at least could have something that was fitting for two thirds of the panel. I'll try harder to please you next time, (even though, you've indicated how skinny I am..lol)
Good luck everyone.

Thanks Judges for your comments, I hope that I didn't disappoint you too much this week and hope you keep me to show you what else I can do. Good luck to everyone!

WOW I chose this photo because of the suit, because so dressed up and looking GQ I didn't know a jacket was a definite requirement or I would've submitted one But my other choice wasn't as GQ as this
